Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden was born on August 14 of 1959 in La Jolla, California, the fifth child of five. Beverly Bushfield was her mother. Thad Harden being in active military service, was her father. The first time she became interested in theatre while living within her home with her relatives in Greece and attending plays in Athens. Harden studied at American Universities in Europe but returned to the US in 1983 to finish her studies at the University of Texas. She obtained an MFA at NYU and began acting professionally. Harden had already appeared in an upcoming film, The Imagemaker, but her first big role came in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers hilarious, offbeat reference to gangster film. Harden was praised for her sultry performance as Verna the seductive, mischievous woman. Harden kept working hard as a support actor as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92), the television biopic about Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
