Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is an American actress and singer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is Nurse and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered a passion in the performing arts from the age of a child. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was cast as a model on television and newspaper commercials. In the same year, she also began training in private acting. Bell made an appearance on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in both the music and drama club. The school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was cast as Dorothy. Bell was then transferred into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell quit university in 2001 to take on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit with Pootie Tang in 2001. The scene however, was trimmed and now her only appearance is in the final credits. Bell made an appearance together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
